I am managing editor of Windy City Times, Chicago's LGBTQ+ newspaper of 40 years. My specialties include LGBTQ+ beat coverage, newsletter growth and community engagement.

I write in-depth reporting on Chicago's LGBTQ+ community, including coverage of LGBTQ+ politics, the city's transgender community and other queer topics.

As an editor, I oversee the newsroom's newsletter operation, which grew from zero newsletters at the start of 2024 to a suite of four newsletters with a net 15,000 subscribers in 2025.

​As a freelancer, I'm available for writing news and features, managing email newsletters, and moderating panels or speaking on LGBTQ+ journalism.
